The main selling point of "Thallumala" is the editing choice. The director decided to tell the story in a non-linear format, which makes the ordinary story of the movie reflect extraordinarily on screen. The movie begins with the climax scene's shot, then veers into flashback, where it veers into another flashback.

The way director Khalid rahman tells his story has a certain amateurish wild energy; he comes across more as a cool technician than a writer. He jams the drama with breathtaking action setpieces to occasionally enthral the audience with enchanting style, and there is humour at times; it's underlying, but it's always present and keeps the movie light-hearted/entertaining enough without losing steam.

Shine tom Chacko as Reji was fine, and the competition between these two looked really nice on screen. The rest of the cast were decent. tovino thomas as Wazim was amazing; he was active as hell in the role that asked him to be a crazed beast, as usual, and his screen presence was powerful. The movie is impressive technically. The score by vishnu Vijay for action situations was, to put it mildly, pulsing, and it fired those moments like nothing else. The supreme Sundar Master's stunts were mind-blowing, over-the-top at times, but masterfully choreographed, leaving us in wonder. The "theatre battle" scene, in particular, was one of the most thrilling fight scenes ever produced.
