The censor board issued a 'UA' certificate after removing 30 scenes from Trisha's 'Rangi'. M. Saravanan has directed the film 'Rangi' starring Trisha. He has already directed the films Anywhere and Always, Ivan is different and Valiyavan. Rangi sent the film to the censor board.

The members of the censor board who saw the film objected that there were too many controversial scenes and refused to give permission. Subsequently, the film was taken to the Appellate Committee. They have informed that permission can be given only if certain scenes are deleted. Subsequently, the Censor Committee issued a 'UA' certificate after removing 30 scenes in the film that featured the names of the United States, Dollar, Libya, RAW, and FBI.

The film's director Saravanan says, "We have used the same words from some previous films in Rangi as well. We had set up a screenplay where international groups interacted with a young woman's problem. Thus there were scenes related to foreign countries. The censors have removed scenes involving those names. Due to this, there has been a long delay in the release of the film," he said. Stay tuned for more updates in this regard.
