A complaint has been filed against kannada actor Upendra. He is in trouble after making a controversial statement against Dalits in a recent facebook live session. upendra was addressing a live session on his facebook account. During this he was talking about his political party Prajakeeya ( Prajakeeya ), during which he made a controversial statement. An FIR has reportedly been registered against upendra at the Chennammana Kere Achukattu police station. During the facebook Live session, he used language that was highly offensive against a particular community. Talking about his party, Prajakiya, upendra said, "If there is a city, there will definitely be Dalits in it."

Upendra said, “Change can only happen with innocent hearts. I want innocent people to join us and speak. Can't do anything about them, if any city has Dalits in it. Let's ignore them, let's not read those comments. Patriotism is when you love people.”
Actor upendra apologized. Several groups of Dalits have taken this comment against them. Many people have filed an FIR against the actor. The actor has reportedly apologized by removing his video from Facebook. However, Dalit society is not satisfied with this.
