Naga chaitanya has never been afraid to try out fresh narratives and first-time filmmakers. Even though he had a fair number of flops, his attempts at developing original storylines were consistently remarkable. Chay has apparently signed his next project and selected a thriller genre. He is currently working on Thandel, a rural drama that showcases him like never before. 

As per the sources, naga chaitanya teamed up with karthik Dandu, the director of the highly successful film Virupaksha. According to reports, the film would have a theme that appeals to audiences across India, but it will also have a distinct tale and storyline from Thandel.

In august of last year, karthik Dandu made an announcement regarding his upcoming project, a mythological thriller produced by BVSN Prasad. It remains to be seen whether naga chaitanya is tackling the "mythical thriller" that karthik Dandu hinted about. karthik Dandu is directing megastar Chiranjeevi's upcoming film, however naga chaitanya is attached to the project.

Currently filming Thandel, a film directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is naga chaitanya with Sai Pallavi. Speaking about the movie on Zig Wheels, the actor disclosed the storyline of the movie in addition to the characteristics of his and Sai's characters.
