Sharmin Sehgal, who played the character of Alamzeb in the recently released series 'Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar', is facing the anger of trolls and critics on social media. The actress has been trolled a lot for her expressionless performance in the film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. However, all the actors of the series have stood in full support of Sharmin Sehgal and are also giving a befitting reply to the trolls.
Richa Chadha supported Sharmin Sehgal
In Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece Sharmin Sehgal has played the role of Mallika jaan i.e. Manisha Koirala's daughter Alamzeb. Shortly after the release of this series, the audience trolled Sharmin for her poor acting in Hiramandi. Due to this, Sharmin had closed her insta account. However, after 10 days she returned to insta again. Richa Chadha, who made headlines with the character of Lajjo in Heeramandi, has now supported Sharmin.
In an interview given to Pinkvilla, Richa said, “I really think this is the right of the audience. It is the audience's prerogative whether you like the show, you dislike the show. You like a performance, you dislike a performance." Richa further said, "But what happens today, I think in the age of social media, when people start trolling, making memes, doing all this , so I think it's a little sad for anybody. We should never be cruel because it can happen to you tomorrow and everyone is a human being.”
