Akshay Kumar kesari Chapter 2
The recently released film 'Kesari Chapter 2' based on the Jallianwala massacre is getting a lot of appreciation from the audience as well as many stars of the film industry. congress mp shashi tharoor also watched the film starring akshay kumar, R Madhavan, and ananya Pandey. He praised the film a lot. However, in the meantime, he noticed one thing and said that C Shankaran Nair never does this.
Shashi Tharoor claimed that C Shankaran Nair would never have used the words used by akshay kumar in 'Kesari Chapter 2'. After watching the film, shashi tharoor expressed his opinion praising the film.
Shashi Tharoor said not a single scene in this film is dull
The congress mp said, "I thought it was a brilliantly made film. The film took some liberties with historical facts, but it was stated at the beginning that it was fictional. But it kept the spirit of resistance alive with the british court system. The message of the film was brilliantly delivered. I would like to say that the acting, direction, and the way the story was presented in a high-quality production are superb. Not a single scene in the film is dull."
I have been a fan of Shankaran Nair Sir for a long time, the mp said
The congress mp noticed one thing in the film and said, "I was worried that the courtroom scenes would be boring for many people to watch but the way the story unfolded, I think it was difficult to take my eyes off it for even a second. Very brilliant, I have been a fan of Shankaran Nair, sir, for a long time. Eight years ago I talked about his life and achievements during a speech. Some people call him very romantic, but he was a courageous, principled, and honest man. He would never have used some of the words that akshay kumar uses, especially the four-letter words, never come out like that."
Shashi Tharoor said such films are needed
He further said, "I can tell you that a clear message has been given brilliantly. I would say that we all need such films to remember some of the atrocities of history. Jallianwala Bagh is a symbol of one of the worst deeds of the british Raj. I am proud that when I did a book tour in the UK after my book on the british Empire, 'An Era of Darkness: The british Empire in India', I emphasized on apology. Apology is needed for the massacre and I am happy that at the end of the film, he said that one thing the british never did was apologize."
Shashi Tharoor praised the filmmakers and also congratulated them.
Tharoor further said, "On the 100th anniversary in 2019, the prime minister (UK prime minister Theresa May) gave a speech in the house of Commons, but she simply said that she regretted the events of that day. It was not an apology and I think this film reminds the british and all of us that an apology is still due. Congratulations to the filmmakers. They have done a wonderful job and I would advise the countrymen to watch the film."
Directed by karan Singh Tyagi, 'Kesari: Chapter 2' also stars akshay kumar, R. Madhavan, ananya Pandey, and regina cassandra in important roles. This film based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre was released in theatres on 18 April.
