It feels like watching a different movie like a murder mystery movie. There are few movies based on those types of stories, so if you watch it once in a while, it will be good even if it is mild. But now we see a lot of stories like this not only in our movies but also in web series. Moreover, these days when world movies and tv shows are in the palm of your hand, it is not easy to keep the audience guessing till the end.
The 'Hatya' team has been somewhat successful in this regard. The story moves to the point of helplessness where you have to sit until the end to find out who the killer is. But in the end, there is a twist that the audience can't imagine the killer's motive seems new. Amaze the audience. But beyond that, the movie was not very impressive. 'Hatya' feels like another movie in the popular 'hit' series in Telugu.
At the very beginning of the movie, a girl is murdered. The detective investigates from different angles to find out who killed her. This story runs in the background. Flashback episodes come and go one after the other showing the victim's relationship with each of the suspects. But the director could not manage to create even a single episode of interest. A few minutes after each episode starts, the impatience starts wondering when it will end. Those episodes run so slowly.
None of the scenes feels purposeful. Same as for filling. The photography itself is like running in some artificial world and it gets boring halfway through the movie. If the investigation related to the murder mystery is going on endlessly, the director directed an episode related to the tragic end of the hero's daughter to increase the impatience of the audience. But in that half an hour, 'murder' is pleasing.
The scenes showing who killed the girl from different angles are interesting. The scenes showing who is the real killer at the end are also well presented. Even if the villain's motive is not so convincing, the director has tried to bring out the different aspects of psycho killers. From that point of view, this is a different idea. The ending scenes are well taken. Without these flashes in the climax, the situation of 'Murder' would have been worse.
