The election for the highest office of the country i.e. President is to be held on 18 July. For this, there has been a stir between the BJP-led nda and the Congress-led UPA alliance. However, in the meantime, the Third Front also seems to be ready, which is being led by West bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee. At present, the future of the Third Front is not visible, as many opposition parties have started opposing it.

Elections on July 18, results will come on 21

The notification for the presidential election will be issued on june 15. At the same time, the last date for nomination has been fixed as june 29. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held till june 30. Candidates will be able to withdraw their nomination till July 2. The presidential election will be held on July 18, the results of which will be out on July 21. On July 25, the new President's taking over ceremony will take place.

How strong is the UPA?

The Congress-led UPA currently has votes worth two lakh 59 thousand. Apart from congress, these include parties like DMK, Shiv Sena, RJD, NCP. congress MLAs have 88 Thousand 208 Valued Votes. At the same time, the value of votes of MPs is 57 thousand 400.

What is the future of the Third Front?

At present, apart from the UPA, a third front is also being prepared. Its full form is not yet clear. These include the ruling party of West bengal, TMC, the main opposition party in Uttar Pradesh, the ruling party YSR congress, the ruling party of Andhra Pradesh, the Aam Aadmi party, the ruling party of delhi and Punjab, the ruling party of Odisha, BJD, the ruling party of Kerala, Left, the ruling party of Telangana. The parties include TRS, AIMIM. The value of their vote is two lakh 92 thousand.

Mamata Banerjee uniting opposition

West bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has stepped up efforts to unite the parties which are not included in nda and UPA. For this, she will attend a joint meeting with the chief minister and leaders of the opposition at Delhi's Constitution Club on june 15. mamta has also sent an invitation to those parties which are involved in UPA. Even congress interim president sonia gandhi has been invited to attend the meeting.

There is also opposition to the efforts of mamta Banerjee. Left parties say that in this way the opposition will be weakened. uddhav thackeray or any big leader will not attend the meeting from Shiv Sena. sanjay raut said that he would stay in ayodhya on the day of the meeting. He will send another party leader. However, the congress has accepted the invitation. He said, 'Mamata's move is right. The unity of the opposition is important not only for the presidential election, but also for the general elections. If the opposition is not united then we cannot compete with the BJP. It would have been better had congress called this meeting. However, opposition has started in the congress regarding this. Many congress leaders want sonia gandhi to lead the opposition.
