Modi, a name started getting recognition from the year NDA came to power. It became stronger when NDA lost the next election but still Modi won in his state. He won again in his third term. His wins are so strong that people don’t even know who is in opposition in his state. Person grabbed every single opportunity to develop his state be it supplying water to farmers through big pipelines or Bringing TATA NANO plant to Gujarat. Through-out these fifteen years, all that opposition parties could accuse him of is his godhra, one encounter and the snoop gate. Clearly no corruption charges against him in such long period. Brand Modi was built for fifteen years in India. His personality and speeches either won the hearts of people or their attention. As a strong leader with clear objectives, he raised his position in the party and ultimately the top man. Experts say, to be successful one need to love to be hated. He created many fans and of course many enemies in the process.
Since his name announced as PM candidate from NDA, opposition parties started claiming that he will be threat to secularism and nation’s integrity. Creating fear among all the minorities that he can’t be trusted with the responsibility of PM. Every Indian knows that Gujarat riots and attack on Muslim’s during his tenure as Gujarat CM but no one knows Modi also demolished 200 illegal Hindu temples only in Gandhinagar. He took up the Gujarat CM’s post when BJP was struggling with poor and corrupted administration of Mr.Patel. Now level of corruption and crime is zeroed down in Gujarat. Today Gujarat is one of the top state in development along with Maharashtra and Tamilnadu. Difference in Gujarat’s development is that Gujarat’s revenue there is no revenue from selling Alcohol where as in Tamilnadu it is a 30,000 cr business run by government. Gujarat Tourism is also one of the top 5 in India though there are only few tourist destinations. This is the pure marketing skills than the content. Let us also not forget that all Gujarati’s are natural business men. With a degree and also Master’s in Political science, he is most qualified among the all PM candidates.
For the common man, he is hero coming from poor background. For the educated and middle class people, he is solution for their problems of raising prices and corruption. For the economists he is a boon to the economy. Amongst the youth, he is an ICON and the best choice. For India he is a hope. But for the opposition parties, he will still remain as a Hype of media. There is definitely some amount of hype but still hope is the major factor that’s separating from others.
