The Union government has responded to a question asked under the Right to Information Act that more than 3.85 crores of people in the country have not yet been vaccinated with the 2nd dose within their due date. As of thursday afternoon, 44 crores 22 lakh 85 thousand 855 people had been vaccinated with the first dose of corona vaccine, and according to information obtained through the Govt site, 12 crores 59 lakh 7 thousand 444 people have taken the 2nd dose.

Social activist Raman Sharma had asked how many people in the country have been given the first dose of the corona vaccine by the Right to Information Act and who have not taken the second dose within the stipulated time announced by the Government. The Corona Vaccine Administration, which operates under the Union Ministry of Health, has responded with all the data.

They have responded that "Those who have received the first dose of the Corona Covishield vaccine should receive the second dose within 12 weeks to 16 weeks. And those who received the first dose of the Covaxin vaccine should receive the second dose within 4 to 6 weeks itself." For those who received the first dose and failed to get the 2nd dose of vaccine within the specified time frame, the Union government did not give them any instructions or guidelines on how to get the first vaccine dose again.
