Kasi Annapoorni's statue, which was smuggled out of india a century ago, has suddenly been found. The statue will be installed in a location that has already been designated. varanasi, also known as kasi in Uttar Pradesh, is home to the famed kasi Vishwanathar Temple. Goddess annapurna is also blessing the resurrected devotees beside Viswanatha. A statue of annapurna was stolen from this temple and taken overseas about 100 years ago.

Ottawa, Canada, was where the statue was discovered. The Archaeological survey of india just acquired the statue (ASI). G. Kishan Reddy, minister of Culture, stated, "On the 15th of last month, the monument was sent to India. Last november, prime minister Modi stated on the Voice of the Mind radio show that the monument would be found and returned to India."

He further added, "As a result, the stolen idol was found and returned to India. In 1913, the statue was kidnapped. Since 1976, 55 smuggled statues have been imported to India. Between 2014 and 2021, around 75% of these were imported. 42 of the 55 statues were brought in after 2014. On november 11, the statue will be transported to Aligarh, then to Kannauj, Ayodhya, and varanasi on november 14. Later, in the kasi Vishwanathar temple, the idol would be dedicated."
