Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on sunday urged the administration to keep Hussain Sagar clean following a dispute with the BRS-led telangana government over the circumstances in the century-old Osmania hospital.

"Hussain Sagar is a natural resource and a gift to the people of Telangana. Mother Lake, which is a breeding ground for several sailors, has produced athletes who have competed at the national and international levels and won prizes. The government needs to do everything possible to maintain the lake clean. Additionally, it is not just the responsibility of the army and the government, but also of the general populace, she added after attending a sailing competition at the lake.


She toured all of the hospital wards during her visit to the osmania hospital and chatted with the patients, physicians, and paramedical personnel. A few days after she expressed worry about the state of the century-old hospital, the governor paid a visit there. T Harish Rao, the health minister, had criticized her for sounding "like a bjp spokesperson" in response to this.
