Health minister Dinesh Gundurao said that the High Command will decide whether chief minister Siddaramaiah himself should continue as cm for 5 years or not. Responding to a question asked by the media in this regard in Ejeepura, there was competition between cm Siddaramaiah and DCM DK Shivakumar for the post of Chief Minister. I have seen reports in the media that power has been shared between the two. But there is no such division of power, resentment or disagreement among the leaders, he said.

Siddaramaiah is working for the people. They are giving good governance. We are all with Siddaramaiah. However, the decision of the High Command is final whether the cm should continue for five years or make a change, he said. Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar have been fighting over the Chief Minister's post ever since the government came to power. Some people are indirectly stating that Siddaramaiah will continue as chief minister for five years without any power sharing and some others will step down as cm in two and a half years. But is there really a clamor for a change of cm within the congress camp? The creation of the opposition will be known after the upcoming lok sabha elections.
