yogi Government in Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision regarding lawyers. Keeping in mind the interests of

the lawyers, considering their demand for implementation of the Advocate Protection Act, the yogi government

has constituted a three-member high-level committee. This committee will deliberate on various aspects of the

Advocate Protection Bill and present its recommendations to the State Law Commission for necessary and

appropriate action. This committee will include members nominated by the Chairman of UP Bar Council.

On the other hand, in protest against the alleged lathi charge on lawyers in hapur district last month, lawyers in

some other districts including lucknow, ghaziabad and hapur remained abstained from judicial work on

Tuesday also. Despite the UP Bar Council calling off the strike after talks with the Chief Secretary in Lucknow

on september 14, the lawyers strike is continuing. While the lucknow Bar Association is continuing its strike

after the Bar Council’s decision, the lawyers of ghaziabad also joined the strike from Monday.

This decision was taken in the meeting of lucknow Bar Association

lucknow Bar Association General Secretary kuldeep Narayan Mishra said that the general body meeting of the

association was held on Tuesday, in which the lawyers decided to abstain from judicial work till september 21

and decide their future strategy on the same day. Manoj Pandey, President of Civil court Advocates

Association, said that the lawyers in Gorakhpur continued their strike on Tuesday. Lawyers will resume their

work from Wednesday. Lawyers in Gorakhpur are on strike since 30th August.
