City businessman and education lover Kendoli Krishnappa (63) died of heart attack on wednesday afternoon at his residence, leaving behind a large circle of relatives including wife and son Ramcharan Kendoli. A lover of education, Kondoli Krishnappa started Sri Kandoli Ramanna english and kannada School in 2001-02. Earlier he started matriculation from baby class and then started PU science college. He was responsible for getting good results in matriculation and PU class examination every year. Besides, he organized a yoga camp and became a role model for the state. Even though Krishnappa was a businessman, he gave more emphasis towards the education sector. Some poor students were admitted with free education and reduced fees. His funeral will be held on thursday at 3 pm.


Veteran Journalist Prahlad Rao Passed Away: K. Prahladrao (80), editor of the first local daily newspaper of Kolar district and veteran journalist K. Prahladrao passed away late on monday night. Prahlad Rao has been an inspiration for the growth of local journalism as the home word of the Kolar newspaper district for the past 40 years. Along with journalism, he has also made a mark in the literary field of Kolar district by making his own contributions. The deceased is survived by his wife Vani, children Suhas, Dr. Naren, Suma, Sucheta and a huge fan base. The funeral of the deceased was held at Hindu Rudrabhoomi in Kolar on Tuesday. Several dignitaries including mp S. Muniswamy, mla Kothur Manjunath, MLC Anilkumar, DCC bank Chairman Balahalli govinda Gowda, district Working Journalists Association President B.V. Gopinath paid their last respects.
