Reportedly forced eviction of residents who have been living for three generations in Anagaputhur, Topikana Street, Chengalpattu district on the grounds of water encroachment is condemnable. TTV said that all the families living in Anagaputhur should be given housing title. Dinakaran emphasized.

In this regard, AMU General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran said at X site;- Forced eviction of residents who have been living in areas including Anagaputhur, Topikana Street, Chengalpattu district for three generations on the grounds of encroachment on water bodies is condemnable. It is an inhumane act to try to evict the areas of Chandinagar, Thaimookambikai nagar and Topikana Street from 50 years ago in the panchayat and municipality lists, claiming that they were ordered by the court. The tamil Nadu government should file a suitable appeal in the court and try to get a ruling in favor of the affected people by explaining clearly that the areas including Anagaputhur and Topikana Street are not waterways and water bodies.

TTV Dhinakaran has said that he urges the tamil Nadu government to stop evicting the people who have been living there for generations and to provide housing certificates to all the families living there and to build new houses for all the poor and poor people who have lost their homes on behalf of the government.
