His complete biodata will be in front of you in one click on the mobile. The election commission of india has prepared a special mobile application for this. district election office of jabalpur informed that a mobile application named Know Your Candidate (KYC) has been developed by the election commission of india (ECI). This application helps citizens or voters to know about the criminal history of the candidates contesting the elections. This application is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
Very easy to use
Guidelines for the use of this KYC app have also been issued by the election Commission. Its use is very easy. To get information about the criminal record of the candidate, voters have to select the type of election i.e. assembly Constituency or Parliamentary Constituency along with the state in the app. Apart from this, the candidate can be searched by name. After this, if the candidate has a criminal history, information regarding that will also be available on the app. The candidate's affidavit has been loaded in this mobile app, through which the voter can get all the information including his movable and immovable properties, foreign bank accounts, and criminal records.
How to download and use the app?
Go to the official App Store or google Play Store.
Download the official 'KYC-ECI' app by the election commission of india from google Play and the App Store.
Open the app and tap 'Next'.
Any person can search for the candidate by entering his/her name in the search box given above.
Click on the 'Selection Criteria' box below to find the list of assembly Constituencies/Parliamentary Constituencies (General/Bye); List of elections held so far from 2019-2024; State; To know the details of candidates click on constituency and submit.
