Sustained tension due to sudden protest. There has been constant tension in the area as the people of the area have descended into the pit dug by the government to set up an international center at Vadalur Vallalar Sathya Gnana Sabha.

People in the area are protesting against the establishment of an international center in Vadalur

Sathya Gnana Sabha founded by Vallalar is located in Vadalur, Cuddalore district. As Sathya Gnana Sabha is located on 100 acres of land, the tamil Nadu government decided to build an international center there. For this purpose, the work to set up this international center at an estimated cost of 100 crore rupees started last month. However, the people of the area strongly opposed this decision of the government.

Meanwhile, the ditch was dug today for the construction of the building. Knowing this, the people of the area gathered there. And the villagers of Parvathipuram have gone down in that ditch and are engaged in protest. There is a protest going on demanding that this center should not be set up in the Sathya Gnana Sabha Peruveli and that the government should set it up at a place.

The Public alleges that if the international center is set up at this place where lakhs of people gather every year on Thaipusam day, it will affect the public and the devotees. The police are currently engaged in negotiations with the people who have descended into the ditch and are protesting. Due to this, there is a tense situation in the area. Following this, the police have also been mobilized.
