1 Digital Updates Made Easier

· Citizens can now update Aadhaar details online through the uidai portal or mobile app.

· This includes updating name, address, date of birth, and other demographic details.

· biometric changes (fingerprints, iris scans) may still require visiting an Aadhaar center, but the number of required visits has been reduced.

2 Children’s Aadhaar biometric Updates Free

· Important relief for parents: For children below a certain age, biometric updates will be completely free for the next year.

· This ensures parents can update their child’s Aadhaar without worrying about additional charges.

3 Mandatory Documents & Verification

· Only official identity and address proof documents will be accepted.

· Online updates will require OTP verification sent to the registered mobile number.

· The goal is to reduce errors, fraud, and the need for repeated physical visits.
