Collector Conducts Direct Inspection Ahead of school Reopening

Erode: As schools are set to reopen soon after the summer vacation, the district administration in Erode has intensified safety measures for students. A total of 1,096 private school vehicles used for transporting students have undergone a detailed inspection across the district.

The large-scale vehicle verification drive was carried out to ensure the safety and security of school children before the beginning of the new academic year.

District collector Personally Reviews Safety Measures

The inspection process was directly monitored by the district collector, who visited the checking center and reviewed the condition of the school vehicles. Officials from the Transport Department, police Department, and education Department participated in the inspection.

Authorities examined whether the vehicles complied with government safety norms and transport regulations.

Safety Equipment and Documents Verified

During the inspection, officials checked several important safety features, including:

  • Emergency exits
  • Fire extinguishers
  • First-aid boxes
  • Speed governors
  • GPS tracking systems
  • Fitness certificates
  • Driver licenses and experience records

Special attention was given to ensuring that drivers and helpers were properly qualified to handle student transportation safely.
