The board should fire Sundar Pichai...

The impacted employees as well as outside techies were stunned by Google's decision to fire 12,000 people. They are using social media to criticise the choice made by one of Silicon Valley's big giants.

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, apologised profusely for the decision and claimed full accountability for it in an email to the company's staff.

However, this has not gone over well with some of the affected employees and industry executives, who questioned why Pichai did not resign in the first place if he was the one making the decisions.

Director of Engineering at YourDOST vishal Singh claimed he should pay for any incorrect bets he made. He questioned, "Why should Sundar Pichai stay at Google?

Singh claimed that satya Nadella at Microsoft, which recently laid off roughly 10,000 workers, should also be fired by the board. In a LinkedIn post, he claims that "Even politicians are expected to retire after a screw-up."

According to Singh, leaders must incur some expense; they simply cannot write letters to their followers to explain difficult choices. "That's getting away with a lot. They ought to pay the price for their poor judgement.

Top leadership is responsible for all decisions "he added.
