
'Artwork can wait; india comes first.' Celeb kamal haasan has postponed the audio launch of his upcoming film "Thug Lifestyles" amid growing tensions between india and pakistan at the borders.
In a declaration, the actor stated that the event has been "rescheduled" and the new dates might be announced later at an "extra appropriate time".
"Thug Life" is one of the surprisingly predicted upcoming movies in indian cinema. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film marks the much-awaited reunion of the actor kamal haasan with the director after their preceding collaboration in "Nayakan" (1987).
In a statement titled "Artwork can wait. india comes first," kamal haasan expressed his "unity" with the indian military, highlighting the want for "restraint" in celebrations (the film's audio launch) amid the rising tensions on the nation's borders.
Whilst highlighting the importance of prioritizing countrywide pastimes over private or professional endeavors, kamal haasan wrote, "Art can wait. india comes first. In view of the tendencies at our kingdom's border and the cutting-edge kingdom of heightened alert, we have decided to reschedule the audio launch of Thug Life, which was initially planned for the 16th of May".
The statement conveyed a sense of patriotism and harmony of the actor with the country's defense force.
"As our infantrymen stand company at the frontlines with unflinching courage in defense of our motherland, I believe it's far more a time for quiet harmony now, not a birthday party. a new date might be introduced at a later, more suitable time. The film additionally stars trisha krishnan, silambarasan TR (STR), and Sanya Malhotra. The film is slated to launch in theatres on june 5, 2025.
