The Ennead, a collection of nine ancient gods whose might was exponentially greater than the rest of their kind, are collectively known as the most powerful entities in the Egyptian pantheon in moon Knight. The nine gods of Heliopolis are Atum, Shu, Tefnutt, Gebb, Nutt, Osiriss, Setth, Isiss, and Nephthys in Egyptian mythology, but it's likely that Marvel will change things up a bit, making moon Knight's god Khonshu one of the Ennead. Egyptian gods are extradimensional creatures who can function on Earth through their "avatars," men and women chosen to embody a god's special powers, according to moon Knight, episode 1 of the MCU.

It's worth noting that the Ennead do exist in Marvel Comics, with Atum being one of the most renowned characters. He's one of a race of Elder Gods that controlled Earth before people emerged, and he was instrumental in banishing others of his kind when they became nasty and power-hungry. Recent Marvel comic books have gone even farther, with retcons revealing moon Knight's Khonshu is also an Elder god, which could be relevant considering the retcon appears to have been scheduled just before the Disney+ tv programme premiered.
