Fans should be concerned about their favourite characters in Season 4 Volume II, according to Stranger Things writers Matt and Ross Duffer. Stranger Things is a coming-of-age drama that follows the residents of Hawkins, Indiana, on top of its successful blend of '80s nostalgia and terror. Eleven (Millie bobby Brown) and Will (Will Ferrell) are among the show's growing roster of important characters (Noah Schnapp)

Stranger Things returned to Netflix on May 27 after a three-year sabbatical, with season 4 being praised as the series' darkest and most adult instalment yet. Because of its new major enemy, Vecna, the show has been able to test the boundaries of its TV-14 rating. The protagonists named her after Vecna, a Dungeons & Dragons spellcaster who torments youths by infiltrating their minds and preying on prior trauma/guilt. Season 4 volume I finishes with Nancy in Vecna's crosshairs, leaving fans to wonder if she can survive the Upside Down's latest monster. In addition, Hopper, Joyce, and Murray are imprisoned in Russia, and Eleven has recently regained her groove.

In a recent interview with Variety, the Duffer Brothers were asked if season 4 volume II would feature any big character deaths. Ross Duffer, of course, refused to give any spoilers, but he did say that all of the characters are in danger and that the audience should be concerned about them.
