According, to a website that keeps an eye on the development of whatsapp, the company is bringing 3 new features for the channel which include channel alert, hide navigation level, and the facility to search messages by date. You will find channel alerts under 'Channel Info' in the three-dot menu visible on the right side of the channel. Here you will get updates that will tell you that you have violated the company's rules within the channel. Apart from this, the company is adding a feature in the app to remove the navigation level and top bar while scrolling the screen down. Additionally, you will now be able to search messages within the channel by date.
