It appears that trolls are targeting Thaman and DSP more frequently these days. The first single from Varisu, "Ranjithame," has recently been heavily mocked by music fans who claim Thaman stole the idea from one of his earlier songs. But that song has received over 55 million views on YouTube so far and is still rising. Similar trolling is being directed at DSP for the opening track of the #BossParty before the song has even been released, so it stands to reason that song could also become a huge hit. Because after Oo Antava was released last year, the composer received a lot of backlash, but the song quickly rose to the top of many music charts around the world.
Actually, both of these songwriters engage in a lot of trolling, but they still have to produce tunes that will get people out of their seats during the Sankranthi celebration. At least three or four of the tracks from WV and VSR's albums need to become superhits in order for the public's interest to spike. With the background music they have provided for the Veerayya and Veerasimha title revelation teasers so far, DSP and Thaman are both impressive.
