A strange case has come to light in the national capital of the country, delhi, which has shocked everyone. A tenant not only tried to grab the Waqf property, but also sold it. This incident is from West Rohtas nagar area of Shahdara, where a dispute has heated up over the 118 square yard Waqf property located on the main babarpur Road.

When the management committee of Masjid Parao Wali, built on this property, saw that their property had been sold illegally by the tenant to someone else, they immediately approached the court. It was clearly stated in the petition that the property was rented to M/s Dayal Singh Inderjit Singh, but the tenant sold the property claiming ownership.

The mosque management committee had complained about this fraud to Shahdara police on january 13, 2025. A written complaint was submitted to the Waqf Board and the police on january 14 and the MCD was also informed about it on january 16. But the committee alleges that no concrete action was taken on these complaints, due to which they had to knock the doors of delhi High Court.

Considering this matter serious, Justice tara Vitasta's bench of delhi high court has issued notice to delhi police, Waqf Board, MCD, all the parties buying and selling the property and ordered them to file a reply within two weeks. During the hearing, the concerned departments assured that they would take action soon.

Now all eyes are on May 14

Now the next hearing of this case is to be held on May 14 and it will be interesting to see what action the justice system takes on this illegal sale. The management committee of the mosque has appealed to the court to take strict action against the culprits so that the safety of the properties of the religious and social trust can be ensured.
