suma kanakala is re-entering the film industry with the village drama Jayamma Panchayathi. The film, directed by Vijay Kumar Kalivarapu, will be released on May 6th. Interim, director Vijay interacted with the media as part of the film's promotion to share interesting aspects of the film. According to the filmmaker, he got into the business with the goal of making big-budget films with big-name actors. "I realised that I needed to show myself first with a low-budget film." I hoped to make the film on a budget of roughly Rs. 60 lakhs. I didn't realise the subject had the potential to bring on popular anchor suma to play the lead part, as well as a leading musician like MM keeravani to compose the soundtrack."

Several industry heavyweights also backed the film, launching various promotional materials. "I didn't expect huge names like Pawaan Kalyan, varun Tej, Raajamouli, Trivikram, and others to come out in support of the film." He claims that a film's wide appeal is difficult to achieve without appropriate casting. "After only 10 minutes of narration, suma liked the script. We did a practise shoot. But I had my reservations about whether she could truly be described as a country woman. She, on the other hand, nailed the role. Without suma, Jayamaa Panchayathi would not have existed. The audience will feel immediately linked to the character. She had a significant part to play. Her antics, on the other hand, make us giggle."
