Sunny Leone briefly dated popular stand-up comedian Russell Peters. In an interview with 'Mid-Day', Sunny described her relationship with ex-boyfriend Russell as 'a mistake'. Talking about how their dating ruined their friendship, she said, "It was a mistake. I really believe that he and I were great friends and we had a lot of fun together. Wherever I went in America, there were places where he used to do shows. We would just meet and have fun, drink and go out.

Sunny is currently living a happily married life with her husband Daniel. However, once there were rumors that Daniels beat up Russell for joking about him. Apart from this, the same was shown in the series based on Sunny's life. Now in the same interview when Sunny was asked about this, she immediately laughed and said- "No, that was a bit sensational."

Sunny told in her interview that while she was dating Russell, she was also meeting her husband Daniel. So he had to end his friendship with Russell. In Sunny's words, “I really wish we (Sunny and Russell) were still friends. We both went our separate ways. Which is totally fine, but if I ever see him again, I'd love to see him, even if he talks shit in his stand-up comedy, that's okay."

Recalling her meeting with Daniel, Sunny said, “When I dated Russell for such a short period of time, that was the time when I met Daniel. Then again, it would be really weird if I was still friends with Russell and still dating Danielle. So I had to leave friend. I am sad about it."
