Popular actress Chitra who has acted in several movies has died of a heart attack a few hours ago and she was 56 years old. Chitra made her debut as a child star in the 'Aval Appadi Thaan' tamil movie. She has acted along with Rajinikanth, radhika in the 'Oorkaavalan' movie and several other blockbuster movies in the late 80s and early 90s period. 


She became famous with the film 'Cheran Pandian' directed by ks ravikumar and in that movie Sarathkumar did the lead role. She was nicknamed 'Nallennai Chitra' by the fans for her performance in the oil advertisement. Later, she acted in lots of tamil serials and she even appeared in cameo roles. Chitra, who was living with her family in Saligram, chennai, died of a heart attack this morning. 



The funeral is said to take place at her home in Saligramam, chennai this evening. Many film personalities are mourning Chitra's death and are expressing their condolences regarding her shocking demise. comedy actor manobala confirmed her demise and he revealed the news on his social media post. Currently, she was not acting in any movies and was on complete bed rest as she was already suffering and was in severe pain.
