Former AIADMK executive V. Pukazhenthi has filed a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) demanding the deletion of the 'Rettai Ilai' symbol power conferred to Panneer Selvam in relation to former chief minister of tamil Nadu Edappadi Palanisamy and deputy chief minister OPS. The AIADMK broke into two factions after the death of former chief minister Jayalalithaa. The party is in a tumultuous situation. The Chief Electoral Officer was contacted and a complaint was filed. As a result, the late AIADMK leader Madhusudhanan received a positive verdict from the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in february 2017.

Regarding this, he said, "Someone should save ADMK from the clutches of EPS and OPS and also solve the mysterious murder of Late cm Jayalalithaa. The party's governing council is not led by coordinator O. Panneer Selvam and co-coordinator Edappadi Palanisamy. They are behaving in violation of the AIADMK's norms. Similarly, tamil State congress leader Vasan and PMK youth leader Anbumani Ramadoss have been appointed to two state-level positions.

In a civil court lawsuit before the chennai High court, Sasikala and the late Vetrivel are awaiting trial. Former minister Jayakumar had protested to the police that VK Sasikala should not use the ADMK flag in this situation. They are exploiting the election Commission's decision by committing such acts."
