The Amma People's Progressive Association has declared that public protests will take place across
tamil Nadu for ten days starting
april 10 in corporations, municipalities, and boroughs, demanding that the property tax hike be reversed immediately. In this regard, the
party leadership issued the following
press release: The DMK
government is making announcements in an attempt to catch the attention of the
people of
tamil Nadu, as full default is only now beginning to occur as a result of the corona impact. Following that, a property tax of up to 100% on dwellings and up to 150 percent on
business property is imposed.
Condemning this and demanding immediate reversal of the property tax hike, street protests will be held across
tamil Nadu on behalf of the AIADMK in the areas of corporations, municipalities and boroughs. In these meetings which will be held for the first 10 days from
april 10, we will show the
people of
tamil Nadu the true face of the DMK which came to power claiming that it will rule at dawn.
It states that leadership meetings,
district association secretaries, pro-team secretaries and all level association administrators are requested to coordinate these meetings in their respective areas.
