In Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, on saturday, kannada actor Nagabhushana struck a couple with his car after striking an electric pole. According to reports, the man is still receiving treatment while the woman passed away from her wounds. The 48-year-old woman was killed in the accident, which occurred close to Konakunte Cross in Bengaluru, while her 58-year-old husband is still receiving medical care.
Actor Nagabhushana was reportedly travelling to his home in JP nagar after attending an event in RR nagar, according to the Bengaluru Police. When the car struck the couple and then collided with an electric pole, the driver was negotiating a turn close to Konanakunte Cross. Then Nagabhushana drove them in an autorickshaw to the hospital. On saturday night around 9.45 p.m., the incident took place.
According to reports, Nagabhushana personally drove the injured couple to the hospital for medical attention. An FIR has reportedly been filed with Bengaluru's Kumaraswamy traffic police station, according to news. The complaint was made by the couple's son, who claimed that his parents were walking on a pavement after dinner when they were struck by Nagabhushana's car. In his statement to the police, actor Nagabhushana claimed that the couple's abrupt transition from the footpath to the road caused the accident. According to the police, this is reckless and speeding driving. Nagabhushana, an actor, was granted bail.
