Union home minister amit shah requested a statement from rahul gandhi and other opposition leaders on the discovery of nearly Rs 350 crore cash during an Income Tax search from premises affiliated with Dheeraj prasad Sahu, a congress MP from Jharkhand. amit shah, who was in patna for the Eastern Zonal Council meeting, questioned why opposition parties, specifically india alliance members, remained mute on the issue.

"I'm taken aback. Following independence, such a big sum of money was taken from the home of an MP. Although crores of rupees have been collected, the whole india alliance has remained mute on this malfeasance. "I understand that the congress is silent because corruption is in their nature, but the JDU, RJD, DMK, and SP are all sitting silently," Shah stated, according to ANI.

In a sharp comment, Shah accused the opposition of being afraid of being exposed for their corruption, implying that their prior statements about investigative agencies being abused were essentially propaganda.

"I now understand why a campaign was launched against PM Modi alleging that agencies are being abused." "It was run because they were afraid that all the secrets of their corruption would be revealed," he explained.

While the congress has sought to disassociate itself from Sahu, claiming no involvement in his business operations, the bjp has used the event to bolster claims of corruption against the Grand Old Party.

Shah promised that the bjp will bring this matter to the public's notice, emphasising the party's dedication to fighting corruption.
