On Wednesday, the uddhav Thackeray-led shiv sena group unveiled their slate of sixteen candidates for the forthcoming maharashtra lok sabha elections. The candidates would run as members of the opposition alliance india bloc. Anil Desai, the senior leader, was already named.
 
Uddhav Thackeray's party has 17 lok sabha candidates, including Desai and two former Union ministers, Anant Geete and Arvind Sawant. Amol Kirtikar, the son of party MP Gajanan Kirtikar, has also been nominated as a contender for the Lok Sabha. Amol Kirtikar will run in North West mumbai, arvind sawant in South mumbai, and Anil Desai in the mumbai South Central lok sabha Constituency.

Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), the opposition coalition in maharashtra, has not yet made an official announcement about the seat-sharing agreement. According to reports, the MVA has settled on seat-sharing for 44 constituencies; discussions are still underway for the other four seats.
 
Of the 44 seats that have been finalised, 19 will be contested by shiv sena, 16 by Congress, and 9 by Sharad Pawar's NCP.
 
Sanjay Raut, the head of shiv sena (UBT), declared today that the party will run for 22 seats, with the remaining seats to be disclosed at a later date.
 
Maharashtra's 48 lok sabha seats will vote in five stages beginning on april 19.
