According to authorities, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is looking into the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe explosion case, raided three sites in chennai early on Wednesday. The two suspects in the march 1 explosion were reported by intelligence sources to have remained in chennai, which prompted the raids.

Despite having identified the primary suspect, the central anti-terror investigation agency has not yet been able to locate him. At the well-known cafe in the city, the accused—disguised in a mask and cap—placed a low-intensity bomb in a bag that detonated, wounding at least 10 people.

Mussavir Hussain Shazib, the main suspect, was identified on march 23 by the NIA sources. He was a resident of Thirthahalli town in the Shivamogga region of Karnataka. To identify the primary offender, the agency has examined more than 1,000 CCTV cameras.

The isis module in Shivamogga may have been responsible for the explosion, according to individuals close to the inquiry agency. Officials claim that eleven members of this module were radicalised in Thirthahalli, Karnataka, and that they have since grown their network throughout South India.

In the meanwhile, there are five Thirthahalli locations where the NIA is conducting searches. From Bengaluru, around fifteen officials from the probe agency came in the town.

The local police and the NIA team are working together to conduct raids on suspected people's residences.

The government anti-terror investigation agency had publicised CCTV images and footage of the suspect along with an announcement of a monetary reward of Rs 10 lakh for information that led to the bomber's arrest.

Karnataka home minister Parameshwara stated that the investigation teams are "getting closer to him" earlier this month.

"We are getting closer to identifying the person (suspect), and investigations are still ongoing. Both it and his capture must be verified. Not only are they doing it, but NIA and CCB are doing it with them. On march 11, minister Gangadharaiah Parameshwara stated, "They have good leads."
