This political contest for the nagari Assembly seat is developing into something of a thriller. To protect her territory, actor-turned-politician R.K. Roja engages in a public spat with dynast Gali bhanu Prakash. A fierce election struggle is anticipated with factionalism inside Roja's party ranks and the Gali scion trying to revive his family's influence in the area.
 
Roja wants to win three elections in a row, an unparalleled feat. In 2014, she upset the odds by defeating TD's Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu by a margin of 858 votes in the elections. By a margin of 2,708 votes, she defeated his son bhanu Prakash to keep her seat in 2019. Now that dissident voices are starting to surface among her party cadres, Roja is up against her hardest opponent to date.

Even though she claimed to have made progress towards Nagari's growth, she received unfavorable press that made her discomfort level rise due to internal strife inside the YSRC. Her party officials have criticized her throughout several Mandals, and they are pledging to make sure she loses.

"I'm not at all phased by the hostility. Considering that the residents have direct knowledge of the YSRC government's actions, my relationship with them is still firmly rooted in the community," says Roja. "It is undeniable, though, that this election will be difficult because of the backstabbing from some places. I am fully aware of the constituency's support base, and the people there are eager to keep me as their MLA.

To win back the seat, bhanu Prakash is counting on the political capital of his family's forty-year rule over the district. bhanu is now going all out, focusing his campaign on the TD's "Super Six" projects that provide financial stability to the impoverished, after suffering his first election setback against Roja in 2019. bhanu is confident in his capacity to outmaneuver Roja's juggernaut, drawing power from his father Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu's record as a six-term MLA, cabinet minister, and the catalyst for Nagari's infrastructure advances for more than three decades till his mortality.
