After the terrorist attack in pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, countries around the world are standing with india in this hour of grief. The heads of state of egypt, italy and france spoke on the phone with prime minister Narendra Modi on thursday (April 24, 2025). He also said that we stand shoulder to shoulder with india against terrorism.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir jaiswal shared a post on X and said that French President Emmanuel Macron spoke to prime minister Narendra Modi over the phone. During this, he expressed his personal condolences on the brutal killing of innocent people in the heinous terrorist attack in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He strongly condemned the attack and expressed full support and solidarity with the people of India.

Macron said that such barbarism is completely unacceptable. prime minister Modi thanked them for their message of support and conveyed India's determination to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Georgia Meloni, Emmanuel Macron and Al-Sisi spoke to PM Modi

Randhir jaiswal said, "Italy's prime minister Georgia Meloni called prime minister Narendra Modi and strongly condemned the terrorist attack on indian soil. She expressed her condolences and prayers for the victims. She also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. She expressed Italy's full support in the fight against terrorism. prime minister Modi appreciated her phone call and clear message of support against terrorism and those behind it. india and italy will continue to work together, including in international forums, to strengthen anti-terrorism efforts."

Netanyahu and Jordan's king also expressed condolences

Apart from this, Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi also spoke to PM Modi regarding the pahalgam attack. Giving information on the exchange, Randhir jaiswal said, "Egyptian President Al-Sisi called PM Modi and expressed his deep condolences to the people killed in the terrorist attack on indian soil. He strongly condemned the terrorist attack. President Sisi reiterated that egypt stands shoulder to shoulder with india in the fight against terrorism. The prime minister informed President Al-Sisi about the cross-border terrorist attack and thanked him for his support and solidarity."

Earlier, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Jordan's king Abdullah II and Japanese prime minister Shigeru Ishiba also called prime minister Modi. They expressed their deep condolences on the death of people in the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
