FRRO gave the list to the Special Branch - Source
The Foreign Regional Registration office (FRRO) gave this list to the Special Branch of delhi Police. It was later shared with police officers of different districts. If sources are to be believed, the list also contains the names of those Pakistani Hindu citizens who have long term visas. If sources are to be believed, the government has clarified that this new rule will not apply to those who have long term visas.
Asked to do verification immediately - Source
According to sources, after receiving this list, the officers of all the districts of delhi have been asked to do the verification immediately. Especially in Central and North east Delhi, most Pakistani citizens are living. Apart from this, delhi police and Intelligence Bureau officials have been given the responsibility to collect the details of these people and ask them to leave india as soon as possible. Sources also said that many Pakistani citizens have already returned.
It is worth noting that after the terrorist attack in Barsan of Pahalgam, Pakistani citizens have been given 48 hours to leave India. Pakistani citizens are returning to their country from Attari-Wagah border post in Amritsar, Punjab. Appeal of delhi Home Minister
Meanwhile, on saturday (April 26), delhi Home minister Ashish Sood appealed to the people to help in identifying Pakistani citizens staying beyond the prescribed time. He appealed that if any information is received, immediately inform the nearest police station.
