The Economic Times told quoting sources that these flights are going to start between Baku and Ahmedabad from July 4, which will run four days a week. Azerbaijan's national air carrier AZAL is going to start these direct flights for four days on Tuesday, Thursday, friday and Sunday. Currently AZAL operates flights from Baku to mumbai and Delhi.

Sources said that soda ash was transported from azerbaijan to the southern ports of india through cargo, after which the decision to start the flight has been taken. azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company, which operates in the indian Ocean, first delivered soda ash to the ports of Kattupalli and Kandla.

Flights currently run to mumbai and Delhi
