After marrying a Pakistani woman, CRPF constable Munir ahmed is facing severe consequences as the force prepares administrative action against him for breaking protocol by failing to obtain prior consent, a move officials claim raises national security concerns.

According to the officials, the CRPF has launched a departmental investigation into Ahmed's marriage to a Pakistani national and his decision to retain his wife in india after her visitor' visa expired. According to the inquiry report, Constable Munir Ahmed, who is presently assigned to the 41st Battalion, requested permission to wed Menal Khan, a Pakistani national.  However, according to officials, the marriage was purportedly solemnized via a whatsapp video call on May 24, 2024, before the department could process or approve it.

The policeman committed an unauthorized act, necessitating a formal investigation and the start of disciplinary action. In its findings, the investigative committee pointed out that the issue was a policy decision and that the Jammu & kashmir zone had suggested that the request to wed a Pakistani person "may not be granted."

According to the officials, departmental disciplinary action may now be contemplated after the investigative report found that Constable ahmed had broken the service conduct norms under 21(3) of the CCS (Conduct) norms, 1964.

According to the departmental inquiry report, "As the instant case requires a policy decision being a case of marriage with Pakistani girl and matter of national security, the proposal was re-submitted to Headquarter, J&K Zone, vide this office letter with an opinion that NOC may not be granted and a policy decision should be taken for dealing with such type of cases."

The investigative panel also discovered that the constable had made several mistakes, including failing to notify the department that his wife had stayed in india after her visa had expired and maybe lying in court.

"Munir Ahmed's wife, Menal Khan, entered india from the wagah Border using a Pakistani passport on a tourist visa that was good until march 22, 2025. However, the individual has failed to notify the department that his wife is still in india after the visa has expired. Additionally, he said that his wife had applied for a long-term visa, but he had not told the department of this, the official added.
