If you were also thinking of ordering food quickly on the zomato app, then this news is for you. zomato has recently removed its 15-minute food delivery service 'Quick' from the app without making any noise. That is, now there is no option to order food quickly from Zomato. This service was launched only a few months ago, but now its name is not visible in the app.

What is 'Quick' service?

zomato had started a service called 'Quick', in which customers were promised to get food in 15 minutes. It was launched especially in big cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, hyderabad and Gurugram. This service was part of Zomato's 'Everyday' category, which claimed affordable and homely food.

Why was it suddenly removed?

zomato has not yet made any official statement on this decision, but this is not the first time the company has suddenly stopped such a service. Earlier in 2022, zomato had also started 'Instant' delivery service, which promised to deliver food in just 10 minutes, but that plan did not last long and was discontinued in early 2023.

Where was the difficulty?

The enthusiasm seen in the idea of delivering food quickly proves to be quite challenging in ground reality. Preparing restaurant partners is the biggest difficulty, as they already get a lot of orders. On top of that, preparing every order in a few minutes while maintaining quality and then delivering it is a very tough process.

Blinkit became a ray of hope for Zomato

However, zomato is getting a good response in grocery delivery. The model of delivering groceries in 10 minutes adopted by zomato through the 'Blinkit' platform created after buying Grofers has been successful. Now new initiatives like 'Bistro by Blinkit' are also being done through Blinkit, in which small food items are delivered quickly. But it is currently available on a very limited scale.
