For the first time, the US has given a statement on the claims that Pakistan's nuclear base in Kirana Hills was targeted in India's bombing and after the radioactive leakage started, a US plane also reached the site for investigation. However, the indian Army has already denied the reports that claimed to target the most sensitive nuclear facility present in Kirana Hills.

Many experts on social media are claiming that Kirana Hills, which is Pakistan's nuclear base, was targeted in India's airstrike and after India's bombing, radioactive leakage has started there, for which the US plane has reached there to investigate. The US State Department has given a statement on this for the first time.

US State Department Chief Deputy Spokesperson Thomas Pigott said in a press conference on tuesday (May 13, 2025) that he has nothing to preview at this time. These rumours spread when india carried out precision airstrikes on several airbases of pakistan under Operation Sindoor, including Sargodha and Nurkhan airbases.

Both these airbases are very close to nuclear related infrastructure. Nur Khan airbase in Rawalpindi is just a few kilometres away from Pakistan's nuclear command centre and Sargodha airbase is about 20 kilometres away from Kirana Hills. Only after this, claims started being made on social media that Pakistan's nuclear facility has been damaged in India's bombing.

On the ceasefire, Pigott said that donald trump has clearly praised prime minister Narendra Modi and Pak PM Shahbaz Sharif for choosing the path of peace and the wisdom and firmness that comes from it. He said, 'We are happy to see this. Our focus is on this. We want to maintain the ceasefire and we want to encourage direct dialogue between the two Prime Ministers. Our focus is on encouraging direct dialogue.'

Pigott said that President trump is a peacemaker. He values peace. He has shown time and again that he wants peace while also pursuing his America First agenda. He wants to see an end to conflict.
