For nine years, Stranger Things has kept one story detail mysterious, but before season 5 concludes, it must finally get to the bottom of it. Stranger Things is still one of Netflix's most valuable intellectual properties, even though production delays are becoming worse with each new season.  After over ten years of existence, the program is poised to wrap up its story with a fifth part.  Stranger Things season 5 is tasked with tying up a lot of loose ends because it is the final chapter of the program.

For example, there are still a lot of unanswered concerns regarding the nature and origins of the Upside Down in Stranger Things.  It's also difficult to avoid wondering how season 5 will explain the ages of its primary cast members, who will be considerably older in the last episode.  Additionally, Dr. Owens' destiny is still unknown, thus it is hoped that season 5 will provide some clarity on his fate.  In addition to these storylines, Stranger Things season 5 must resolve a significant question about Eleven's past before the show's definitive conclusion.

Many viewers have speculated since season 1 that Brenner or possibly Henry Creel would be Eleven's father.  But over its five seasons, the show has yet to reveal her father's true identity.  Interestingly, Gwenda Bond wrote the precursor novel Suspicious Minds, which is also a part of Stranger Things.  In addition to enhancing the show's overall mythos, the book reveals that Terry Ives' boyfriend Andrew Rich was Eleven's biological father.

In order to guarantee Andrew Rich's enlistment in the vietnam War, Dr. Brenner allegedly pulled some strings behind the scenes, according to the book's narrative.  Brenner disciplined Terry for discovering kali in the facilities while he was away.  After a while, Andrew Rich was deployed to vietnam, where he lost his life in combat.  According to the book, before dying in the battle, he was unaware of Terry's pregnancy and Brenner's genuine intentions.
