How much money will the champion and runner-up get?
The team that wins the final of IPL 2025 today will get a prize money of Rs 20 crore. Let us tell you that IPL is one of the leagues giving the highest prize money in the world. At the same time, the team that loses today in Bangalore and punjab, i.e. the runner-up, will get Rs 13 crore as a prize.
When IPL started in 2008, the winner Rajasthan Royals got Rs 4.8 crore, while the runner-up chennai Super Kings got Rs 2.4 crore as prize money. After 18 years, the prize money has increased almost 5 times.
Mumbai and gujarat also get bumper prize money
Teams get bumper prize money of crores of rupees just for reaching the playoffs in IPL. Apart from Bangalore and punjab, mumbai Indians and gujarat Titans made it to the playoffs. Mumbai Indians reached till Qualifier-2, for which it will get a prize of Rs 7 crore, while gujarat Titans, which was eliminated after losing in the eliminator match, will get Rs 6.5 crore.

Prize is also given for the best individual statistics in the tournament. Both the players who win the Orange and Purple Cap get a prize of Rs 10 lakh each. The player who hits the most sixes also gets Rs 10 lakh.
