The Foreign Secretary said that prime minister Modi had firmly stated in his speech that india has never accepted and will not accept any third-party mediation in its issues with Pakistan. He said that while there were direct military actions between india and pakistan, india took its precise retaliatory measures, which were only targeted at terrorist camps.
It was also said that US President trump understood India's steps against terrorism and expressed his full support. In the backdrop of this, india launched 'Operation Sindoor' following the death of 26 civilians in the pahalgam terrorist attack on april 22. Under this operation, nine major terrorist camps in pakistan and Pakistan-occupied kashmir were targeted, it is said that this was a retaliation to drone strikes and shelling launched by Pakistan.
Along with this, it is reported that prime minister Modi explained that india has taken very precise and planned actions based on the principle of "Koli ka Jawaab Kole Se" and he said that if there is another conflict, india will give a very strong response to terrorism. The US President invited prime minister Modi to the US, but prime minister Modi declined the invitation due to lack of prior approval, according to the State Department. In addition, although a face-to-face meeting was initially planned for the G7 summit, the meeting did not take place as President trump returned to the US early. The conversation was then held over the phone.
