The ap capital, cm Chandrababu's Kalala project amaravati has recently received funds from the World bank and the Asian Development Bank. These institutions, which had an agreement to provide a total of 15 thousand crores in installments, have recently sanctioned one thousand crore rupees. These funds reached the government's cumulative account on thursday evening. With this, on the orders of the cm, these funds were immediately deposited with the capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), which is looking after the capital works.
Everyone thinks that with these funds, the work will be done quickly. Now that the project works have started, they think that these funds will bring more momentum and the problems will also be resolved positively. But, here is a big twist. The funds provided by the World bank and the Asian Development bank cannot be spent on new constructions. Only infrastructure facilities will have to be taken up. That is, there is a possibility of constructing roads (not new ones. To repair the ones that have already been laid), construction of drains to drain rainwater, water supply, sewage drainage (drainage structures can be undertaken), and electricity facilities. Clarifying this matter, the Chief Minister's office has recently issued orders.
It has been clarified that Rs. 1000 crore should be spent only on the respective works. However, after these works are undertaken, the CRDA will have to inform the bank officials. After they come and inspect, if they are satisfied, the funds will be released. This will take three months. However, the government says that these funds will help key projects, while not stopping the actual work.
