The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft carrying 4 astronauts including India's Shubanshu Shukla on the Axiom-4 mission successfully docked with the international Space Station. Now the four have entered the international Space Station. With this, Shubanshu Shukla became the first person to set foot on the international Space Station. In 1984, Rakesh Sharma from india was the first to travel to space. He traveled to space on a mission of the Soviet Union. After that, now after 41 years, Subhanshu Shukla has become the second indian to go into space. Not only that, Subhanshu Shukla has also achieved the feat of being the first to set foot on the international Space Station.
Shubhanshu Shukla along with Poland's Sławos Usnanski-Wisniewski, Hungary's Tibor Kapu, and America's Becky Whitson have reached space in the Axiom-4 mission. Shukla is the mission pilot. Becky Whitson is the mission commander and the other two are mission specialists. Not only from india but one person from poland and hungary has now reached the international Space Station for the first time. They took off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA, at an altitude of 424 km above the North Atlantic Ocean at 12.01 pm indian time yesterday, and now they have reached the international Space Station in 28 hours. The spacecraft has traveled at a speed of 17 thousand kilometers per hour.
Now the spacecraft has joined the international Space Station. Docking is complete. But before docking can begin, the spacecraft must first be in the same orbital plane as the space station. They must be positioned close to each other. To allow the exchange of astronauts and cargo, many delicate operations will be carried out to ensure a safe and secure physical connection between the spacecraft and the space station, including space, speed, and direction. Currently, there are 7 astronauts from various countries on the international Space Station.
