In the Ambedkar Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh, a 22-year-old lady was murdered by her live-in spouse after she refused to become a prostitute, according to authorities.
The event happened on wednesday evening in rajolu mandal's siddhartha Nagar in the village of B Savaram. After divorcing her husband, the victim, Oleti pushpa, had been living with Sheikh Shamma, who is also 22 years old, for the previous six months. In the village, they had hired a house.
Shamma lately started to accuse pushpa of having affairs with other men, the police said. He allegedly coerced her into becoming a prostitute and would frequently instigate fights with her when intoxicated.
At approximately 10 p.m. on wednesday, the two got into a furious dispute when Shamma demanded that she go with him for sex work once more. He allegedly struck her with a knife after she refused, piercing her leg and the left side of her chest.
When Pushpa's mother, Ganga, and her brother tried to step in, Shamma attacked them, and they were hurt. Due to tremendous bleeding, pushpa passed away immediately.
According to Inspector naresh Kumar of rajolu Circle, a case has been filed. To find the accused, who is now evading capture, two police units have been sent in.
