The supreme court on thursday directed the election commission to make public the information of 65 lakh names removed from the voter list under the special intensive revision in Bihar and the reasons for the removal, so that transparency can be increased. The court also said that those whose names have been removed can contact the election officials with documents like an Aadhar card.

He said the decision of the supreme court to accept Aadhaar as an identity card is also important, because in a state like bihar, the poor and deprived sections have the most Aadhaar cards. The congress leader further wrote, We consider this decision as the first and important step in our fight against the SIR process. We will continue our fight with passion to expose the irregularities and rigging of the election Commission.
